Although it’s pretty easy to get weather information these days, it usually doesn’t come automatically or naturally. And in such a digital area, people appreciate physical objects and tangible interactions.
Nimbus is a smart umbrella stand that provides weather information in a natural, effortless and tangible way. It can remind you to bring umbrella when you are going out if it’s going to rain. And it can indicate different situations: heavy rain, light rain, drizzle, and no rain.
Because umbrella stands are very common objects that people would put in their entrance. It’s natural and effortless to get information from it. Not too obvious, not too dumb, Nimbus is more like a delight in annoying rainy days.
FUNCTIONALITY
Nimbus indicates if it is going to rain and how big the rain will be when you are going out.
